This program is rooted in the cooperative principle of caring for one another in both life and death. It serves as a form of collective support among members, ensuring that the family left behind is not burdened entirely during a time of grief. The death aid benefit is based on the member’s length of active membership in RECEMPCO, recognizing the dedication and loyalty of each member throughout the years.
Here are the death aid benefits according to the member’s years of membership:
₱100,000 – for members of 10 years and above
₱50,000 – for members of 8 to 9 years
₱40,000 – for members of 6 to 7 years
₱30,000 – for members of 4 to 5 years
₱20,000 – for members of 2 to 3 years
₱10,000 – for members of less than 1 year
The program is made sustainable through a modest annual collection of ₱240, which is automatically deducted from the member’s annual dividend. This ensures that the fund remains accessible and available whenever the need arises, without adding any financial burden to the member during their active years.
To file a claim under the COOP-Pagtutulungan program, the following documents are required:
Official Death Certificate of the member
Valid ID of the claimant
